About Us

The Curriculum Development Centre (CDC) together with the Examination Reform Unit (ERU) acts as the nodal agency in the University in co-ordinating all activities related to improving Cirriculum Design and Student Evaluation. The following are some of the activities:

Co-ordinate through the help of the members of the faculty, writing of Text Books and Research Monographs and preparation of Teacher Support/Student Support materials, Computer - assisted Learning packages.

Participate in Quinquennial revision of Regulations, Curriculum and Syllabi of all academic programmes.

Conduct of Seminar/Intensive Courses/Workshops for Academic Administrators and teachers on Curriculum Design with special reference to continuous assessment, Grading Credit-based Regulation and modular courses.

Introduction of innovative academic programmes such as Sandwich programmes, Industry sponsored Academic programmes and Switched Mode (on campus/off campus) Learning Programmes.

Conduct of training programmes for fresh teachers on teaching methodology and on evaluation methodology for improving teacher-effectiveness.

Developing model curriculum and model syllabi for selected disciplines.

Carrying out the minimum Examination reforms advocated by the University Grants Commission including Question Paper format and Question Banking.

Carrying out post examination analysis on the Question paper content and critical review of the examination results
