Centre for development of Tamil in Engineering and Technology (valar Tamil Mandram) unifying the active participation of individuals working together for the development of Tamil within and outside Anna University. The Centre periodically publishes books in Engineering and Technology in Tamil and aslo the Magazine Kalanjium. The vision of the Centre is to enhance the activities thereby popularizingTamil in Engineering and Technology.
Objective of the Centre
- To create an awareness and also to promoto interest among authors to write / translate / transcribe Text Books

lectures / Manuscripts Research papers in Tamil.
- To Encorage engineering students to develop interest in Engineering / Technological subjects in Tamil.
- To explore and expose the wisdom of ancient Tamil in Engineering and Technology and to enhance the professional excellence.
- To help the people working in the areas of IT and to make their technical knowledge to be converted into Tamil,
thereby create an interest among the people.
