The Centre for Professional Development Education is an autonomous centre of Anna University with the vision to impart higher education to upgrade the skills of practicing engineers through information technology means. The Centre is committed to provide equal opportunity in higher professional education to all and to generate trained manpower in all areas of Engineering Sciences so that the Engineers will equip themselves globally competitive. The centre also provides and improves the infrastructure facilities for conducting various self supporting courses in the main and MIT campuses. The facilities include purchase of books, journals, publications, furniture, computers, softwares, computer consumables. The centre provides maintenance and repair of computers, equipments and machineries.
